ITALY MEETS VIETNAM - Textile Connections
Andrea Galante, CEO di Madex Srl, racconta le potenzialità nel lavorare in Vietnam

On June 27, the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (ICHAM) organized the webinar "ITALY MEETS VIETNAM: Connecting Textiles" under the patronage of the Italian Embassy in Viet Nam. The event occurred at Casa Italia - Italian Cultural and Brand Center in Hanoi - and was broadcast online on the CDP Business Matching platform, gathering over 100 Vietnamese and Italian businesses.

Bilateral Cooperation in the Textile Sector Between Italy and Vietnam: Challenges and Opportunities

The Italian textile industry stands out with advanced technology, while Vietnam has labor resources and cost advantages. Italian Ambassador Marco Della Seta and many speakers emphasized the importance of bilateral cooperation, with textile and garment trade turnover reaching hundreds of millions of dollars in 2023. However, Vietnamese businesses face many challenges in business culture and international standards, especially regarding sustainable development. Representatives also shared about cooperation initiatives, technology transfer and improving sustainable production capacity between the two countries, successful projects, and the potential for developing the textile and garment industry in Vietnam.

“We would like to express our sincerest thanks to the speakers, guests, organizations, press agencies, and more than 100 Vietnamese and Italian businesses who supported and participated in the program.” stated the ICHAM officials. They further emphasized: “We hope this event will continue to promote trading and strengthen business connections between the two countries.”
